Where Should I Place The DJ?

Where Should I Place The DJ?

A big decision when planning an event is determining where to place your DJ Entertainer. When deciding the perfect location for your DJ we recommend taking these points into account.

1. Keep the DJ right next to the dance floor.

By placing a DJ a far distance from the dance floor, you take away their ability to successfully read your guest in order to keep the dance floor packed. A good DJ is always watching your crowd, and adjusting their music accordingly.

2. Keep the DJ in the same room as the bar.

If you are having a bar at your event, it is always a good idea for the DJ to be in the same room. Very often guests tend to congregate by the bar. By the bar being in the same space as the DJ, you keep the party atmosphere going no matter what.

3. Keep Servers & Staff in mind.

Wherever you place the DJ, always take the flow of the room into account. Keep in mind servers and staff, and make sure the DJ booth is not in their way.

By keeping your DJ close to their source of power/electrical outlets you avoid any unnecessary running of cords around the venue. Excess wires can create tripping hazards and photo "eye so

4. Consider who your guests are.

Sometimes older guests may be more sensitive to the music then some younger guests. Keep your guests in mind when determining where they are in relation to the DJ. This way you can keep a party atmosphere, and all guests can enjoy themselves!

5. Make sure your DJ "Got The Power."

By keeping your DJ close to their source of power/electrical outlets you avoid any unnecessary running of cords around the venue. Excess wires can create tripping hazards and photo "eye sores."
